Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Vantum Works LLC ("Vantum Works", "we", "us", or "our"), the company that owns and operates the Link Shrink service. These Terms govern your access to and use of the Link Shrink website, applications, dashboards, APIs, and services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. Description of the Service

Link Shrink provides URL shortening, link management, QR code generation, analytics, and related services, including paid subscription features.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Shorten, distribute, or redirect to content that is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful
  • Distribute malware, phishing links, scams, or abusive content
  • Infringe intellectual property rights
  • Evade law enforcement or platform safeguards
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, rate limits, or plan restrictions

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Link Ownership and Responsibility

You retain ownership of the destination URLs and content you link to. However, you are solely responsible for the links you create and their destinations.

Link Shrink does not endorse, monitor, or verify the content of destination URLs.

5. Analytics and Tracking

Link Shrink provides analytics such as click counts, referrers, approximate geographic data, device type, and timestamps.

You are responsible for ensuring your use of analytics complies with applicable privacy laws, including any required disclosures to your end users.

6. Paid Plans, Billing, and Subscriptions

Some features require a paid subscription.

  • Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis
  • Payments are processed through third-party payment providers
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled
  • Usage limits apply according to your plan

Failure to pay may result in downgraded service, suspension, or termination.

Refunds are not provided unless required by law.

7. Usage Limits & Fair Use

Link Shrink provides free and paid plans, each subject to usage limits designed to ensure reliable service and fair access for all users.

On the Free plan, individual links are subject to per-link usage limits. Once a link reaches its limit, it may stop redirecting unless upgraded.

Users may not attempt to circumvent plan limits, restrictions, or intended usage patterns, including by repeatedly recreating substantially similar links or destinations in a manner that exceeds the scope of the Free plan.

To protect platform integrity and ensure fair use, Link Shrink reserves the right, at its discretion, to introduce additional safeguards for accounts exhibiting repeated or excessive usage patterns. These safeguards may include temporary restrictions, rate limiting, or other measures appropriate to the circumstances.

Where feasible, Link Shrink will provide notice or an upgrade path before applying restrictive measures.

8. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • Your use poses a security or legal risk
  • Required by law or regulation
  • Your account remains inactive for an extended period (free plans)

Upon termination, access to your data may be limited or deleted.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, branding, and designs, is owned by Link Shrink and protected by intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services (e.g., analytics providers, payment processors). We are not responsible for third-party services or their policies.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE".

WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINK SHRINK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Link Shrink from any claims arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
